A Royal visit to Leicester Cathedral

Published: 14th June 2023
Last month saw Leicester Cathedral welcome His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh as part of a four venue tour, showcasing the city’s diversity and rich history. Accompanied by the Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire, His Royal Highness was shown the progress of the works at the Cathedral and learned more about the discoveries made during the recent archaeological excavations. The day closed with a visit to the tomb of King Richard III, which has been protected and closed to the public during the ongoing construction works. You can read more about the works that we at Messenger, as the Main Contractor for the project, are carrying out here.

Special hi vis vests were ordered for the occasion from local company,
UK Printwear Ltd.
