Designed with sustainability and community functionality at its core.
The new community hub has been designed with sustainability and community functionality at its core. The building features a timber frame structure with Lincolnshire limestone cladding, allowing it to blend seamlessly with the local architectural character. Eco-friendly systems, including solar panels with battery storage have been installed to significantly enhance energy efficiency.
Large glass windows have been incorporated throughout to maximise natural light, creating a bright and welcoming environment. Internally, the space is highly flexible, comprising two multipurpose areas, a fully equipped kitchen, and ample storage facilities. The space is intended to serve as a versatile venue for a wide range of community events, from parent groups to parish council meetings, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of Barrowden residents.
