Intermediate Estimator – Burntwood Based

Overview

We have a requirement for an Intermediate Estimator who has a general contracting background, looking to widen their experience in the heritage sector. Principal location will be our Burntwood regional office, however other locations as required.

ROLE

  • Accurately review tender documents.
  • Complete supplier and subcontract enquiries.
  • Undertake site visits.
  • Prepare builders quantities / take offs from tender documentations.
  • Prepare estimates, including assessing subcontractor packages and pricing direct trade packages from first principles (groundworks, brickwork and blockwork, masonry and carpentry).
  • Undertake Tender Adjudication with Management Team.
  • Attend pre-tender and post tender meetings as required.
  • Consult with Clients, Consultants and Supply Chain.

KEY SKILLS

  • Managing multiple projects at a time.
  • Good numeracy.
  • A good working knowledge of MS Office, including MS Excel and MS Project and the ability to learn how to use specialist software.
  • Possess a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commercial industry experience essential.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Good communication.
  • Experience managing multiple jobs at one time.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a small team.
  • Build and extend Client relationships.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Location: Burntwood based, with travel
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full Time
