Deene Park

Messenger is featured on the front page of the Winter issue of Conservation and Heritage Journal. The 5-page glossy article spotlights the recently completed restoration work at Deene Park in Northamptonshire. Messenger was hired by Brudenell Estates in early 2017 to undertake the external repairs to the hall at Deene Park – a Grade I listed building dating back to the 14th century.

The works included the stripping of the existing lead roof, subsequent timber repairs, the formation of a new substrate to new falls and the re-leading the roof area. Messenger also carried out masonry repairs to chimneys and elevation stonework. The decorative rooflight over the main stairwell was repaired, glazed and repainted and a large number of windows were fully refurbished and redecorated. The 10-month project was overseen by Surveyors BSM Noble (Peterborough).Deene ParkDeene Park
